Signing of the collaboration agreement to form the education and research network

 

Politehnica University Timisoara is an important landmark for Romanian-Serbian cross-border cooperation, due to the projects and professional exchanges carried out intensively in the last years. The Council Hall of Politehnica Rectorate hosted on Wednesday, December 11th, 2019 the ceremony of the signing the Collaboration Agreement between Politehnica University Timisoara (Romania) and the Mining and Metallurgy Institute Bor (Serbia). This Agreement expands the existing bilateral contacts of Politehnica University Timisoara with educational and research institutions in Serbia, contributing to the free exchange of ideas and scientific innovation, to identifying new technical solutions to hot issues in society, aiming to develop cross-border networks and foster sustainable development of the two countries. The cooperation with the Mining and Metallurgy Institute Bor is developed due to the cross-border project RORS-308, in the framework of Interreg-IPA Cross-border Cooperation Romania-Serbia Programme. Other cooperation agreements involving Politehnica University Timisoara are signed with higher education institutions in Belgrade, Kraguevać, Niš and Novi Sad. The ceremony was attended by his Excellency Vladan Tadić, General Consul of Serbia in Timisoara, who championed the scientific exchanges, but highlighted also the importance of people-to-people contacts that help developing and strengthening the region. He wished the project team success and promised support for further activities.
