The Joint Steering Committee of the project “Forming of network for enhancing environmental protection from pollutants of mining cross border areas”, acronym NETMIN, eMS nr. RORS-308, implemented within the framework of the Interreg-IPA Cross-border Cooperation Romania-Serbia Programme by Politehnica University Timisoara (Romania) and the Mining and Metallurgy Institute Bor (Serbia) held its meeting in Bor (Serbia) on February 13th, 2020. The partners evaluated the results obtained so far and discussed the strategy of attracting members to the network. On the same day, a workshop was organized in Slatina (near Bor, Serbia), to inform the inhabitants about the objectives and activities of the project. The cross-border cooperation within the Interreg-IPA Programme is a best practice example for creating links among people and facilitating the free flow of information and knowledge, the scientific and applied event in Slatina being a solid proof of such efforts.
